Europe (EU) so called Social Dimension is one of the main
points of the Bologna process from the perspective of a student. But what does
indeed the term mean?
Regarding to the Ministerial Convention saved in London in
2007, the social aspect promotes social inclusion, minimizing inequalities and
raising hopes and degree of knowledge, skills and competences in contemporary
society. It also covers the social diversity in conditions of participation in
and completion of higher education by any means levels.
This seems not only ambitious plan, but very complex and
perhaps rather an unfocused. Although it is straightforward to understand why
it is named dimension. Almost all decisions in higher education have a social
impact. This kind of definition is controversial advantages and cons. On the
one hand, it permits people to interpret the social dimension in compliance
with its regional needs or circumstances. On the other hand, it can be a
barrier than anticipated measurable operational steps are quite clear.
Via the perspective of a student, the social dimensions is
the key process that allows for social variety from admission to graduating and
entry into the labor market. From Mar 7 to 11, various facets of the social
dimensions were discussed at the European Convention student in the main city
of Ireland, Dublin. Several questions about the shortcomings and future
development of the concept were raised at the the legislature.
Social dimension influences every member of society. Yet who
will be the community? Whoever responsibility is the rendering of the social
dimensions? Perhaps it's the responsibility of regional and national government
authorities. However, education is also an Europe-wide concern and therefore
the EU's role needs to be responded. Europe currently has no authority making
decisions regarding education, but it ought to be financed results from an
absence of social integration on the continent.
Clearly, there is an educational element of the current
financial crisis and this has serious consequences for young students in The
european countries. Not only are able to stop the crisis in the further
development of the process of social dimension, but it can also change the
effects of the process in the future.
